By Way of Introduction

Here we go. After attending public schools myself as a child, marrying a public-schooled kid, teaching in the public schools, and raising two public schooled kids of my own (my son has completed the fifth grade and my daughter has completed the second grade in the local public schools), we are changing horses mid-stream. As a family, we have signed a one year contract to try education at home. I'm sure we will all learn a lot.

This blog will serve many purposes, but primarily it will be a place to note the best web resources I've come across, as well as a place to document our journey. Come along with us if you'd like, but hold on; we are unfamiliar with this horse and it may be a wild ride.
